According to a recent study by Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI), the Irish wave energy industry has the potential to employ 50,000 people by 2030 and could generate over four times its current installed capacity or 30,000MW of power.

The Mount Signal Solar project is an utility-scale solar generation facility sited on 1,940 of low-productivity farmland in the Imperial Valley, California. The project is slated to begin delivery of renewable energy to SDG&E in mid-2013.

SSE gets nod for Hunterston offshore wind turbine test facility
The Hunterston facility will be Scotland’s first offshore wind turbine test site and will be an extension of SSE's Glasgow-based Centre of Engineering Excellence for Renewable Energy (CEERE). The facility will test up to three prototype turbines for a period of five years, in partnership with leading turbine suppliers.
