GE, Shenhua collaborate on cleaner coal technology in China

The JV will sell industrial gasification technology licenses in China, conduct research and development to improve cost and performance of commercial-scale gasification and Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) solutions and work to advance to distribution of commercial-scale IGCC.

“Both GE and Shenhua have worked together for years in China on important projects, including the Shenhua Baotou coal-to-olefins facility, which uses GE’s gasification technology. The collaboration will create a leading gasification technology business in China with significant local presence, focus, resources and expertise,” said Wang Xiaolin, deputy general manager of Shenhua Group.

Eclipsall, Sagamok Anishnawbek form solar PV development JV

Both parties will develop and implement PV projects immediately with a longer-term objective of sustainable, renewable energy deployment in Sagamok Anishnawbek.

Another important consideration of the agreement is the creation of long-term employment and to ensure long term sustainability of the projects through hands on training in solar PV operations and technology.

Working in collaboration, Eclipsall and the Sagamok Anishnawbek will also develop and implement solar PV projects within other First Nations communities.

Lincoln Renewable Energy also said it has formed a partnership with Samsung C&T Corporation to further advance its business plan in US renewable energy.

Samsung C&T and Lincoln Renewable Energy have formed a 50/50 joint venture company named Monument Power LLC. Lincoln Renewable Energy has contributed its solar PV project-development sites to Monument Power.

IBERDROLA signs GE-Tamoin consortium to maintain Spanish wind farms

The three-year renewable contract, with a possible two year extension, covers predictive and preventative maintenance of 310 General Electric wind turbines at nine of IBERDROLA’s wind farms in Spain.

The wind farms are - Cuesta Colorada, Cerro Calderón, Cerro Palo, Muela 1, Maza, Calleja, Isabela, Sierra Quemada and Gavilanes facilities, located in the Spanish provinces of Murcia, Cuenca and Albacete.

Under the agreement, the General Electric-Tamoin Energías Renovables consortium will oversee maintenance activities, guaranteeing the strict levels of availability and response times required by IBERDROLA Group....
