Enel Green Power starts construction of 25MW Cove Fort geothermal plant

The new geothermal plant, which will have a gross installed capacity of 25MW, will be able to generate around 160GWh of electricity per year, avoiding the emission of around 115,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.

The plant, which should enter service by the end of 2013, will require a total investment of approximately US$126 million.
