Enel hooks up Castle Rock Ridge wind farm to Canadian grid

The 33 turbines of the wind farm will be able to generate over 200 million kWh each year, avoiding atmospheric emissions of more than 130 thousand tons of CO2 annually.

With Castle Rock Ridge, Enel Green Power has increased its installed capacity to 124MW in Canada, while the group’s total installed capacity in North America has reached 1,088MW.

"Castle Rock Ridge is a clear demonstration of our ability to build power plants in Canada and a first step for future potential development in the Alberta region,” said Enel Green Power CEO Francesco Starace.  “The entry into service of the new plant has further increased our ‘zero-emissions’ capacity in the country, where we have had a well established presence for a long time, stressing our commitment to contributing to sustainable growth.”
