KACO partners Ampt to increase solar inverter power output

Through the partnership, KACO’s inverters will be optimized to operate in Ampt Mode, when deployed in conjunction with Ampt’s module-level DC/DC converters, resulting in an inverter cost savings of up to 40 percent or more.

Using KACO inverters in Ampt Mode, system integrators will be able to achieve up to an 80 percent increase in inverter output power. By operating in Ampt Mode the optimized inverters dissipate less power per kilowatt increasing operating efficiency and reliability, said Ampt.

This is a result of lower balance of system (BOS) and reduced inverter costs as well as maximum power generation from every solar module. Additionally the higher energy production and potential savings in operation and maintenance (O&M) further increase the project ROI...
